Hi, I’m Angela. I have had a fascination with pregnancy and birth for as long as I can remember. While pregnant with my first child in 2019, my fascination grew into a reverence that I knew deserved my attention. After an intensely traumatizing labor and delivery, I put my doula goals on the back burner for a few years to take time to process and heal from my own birthing experience. In 2021 I became pregnant with my second child via IVF and after a redemptive and healing birth experience, it finally felt time to circle back to exploring my path to becoming a doula.
I am a graduate of the Mother Tree birth doula program based here in Portland, OR and have a long list of additional trainings that I am eager to complete. As a doula I am passionate about (in)fertility support, pregnancy road mapping, labor and birth, grief and loss, and community building. I feel a great sense of appreciation and joy being able to walk alongside somebody moving through their journey to parenthood and it is my goal to ensure you feel seen, heard, and respected every step of the way. I hope to always bring a sense of wonder, humor, and trust to all of my relationships while maintaining a safe and professional environment for everybody involved.
Outside of my doula role, you can often find me at the river with my daughter and dogs or planning a fun get away with my husband. I also enjoy reading, learning a new skill or craft, and keeping up with my toddler… when she lets me.
